My sister, mother and I have travelled to Maryland for about 8 years to spend Christmas with my brother and his family. We have stayed each of those years at a competing hotel around the corner from this Hampton Inn. However, last year's stay there was very disappointing so we were willing to try a new hotel.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hampton - our rooms each had a mini-fridge, microwave and a coffee maker and the rooms were spacious and comfortable.
High points - being able to open the windows in our rooms, makeup remover moist towelette in bathroom, choice of firm and soft bed pillows, hot & free breakfast, free personal computers in the lobby, friendly staff.
Low points - in-room coffee maker made only a cup at a time, not quite clean bathrom counter (water/soap puddle marks when I checked in), toilet paper roll holder popped off several times in my room, no english muffins at breakfast buffet..

I stayed here the night before an early morning flight. The location is great. However I expected more being that this is a Hampton hotel. There is a nice flat screen HD tv in the room, and it looks like the bathrooms have recently been remodeled. However I was disappointed when I opened the door to my room and was greeted with a stong smell of cigarette smoke. The hotel is apparently non-smoking. I'm not sure if the previous occupant smoked in the room or if it just wasn't cleaned very well, but it was not very welcoming.

We are a family of three, 38, 36 and a 11 years old boy. English is not our native language, but we will do our best to write this review. After an international flight lasting 4+ hrs., we were very tired and needed a place to rest on Aug. 12 to catch a flight early next morning.

We chose this hotel based on a recommendation found in this page, that turned out to be very accurate. We want to share our experience. The hotel exceeded our expectations. We fully recommend it based on the following:

1- My wife is a really picky kind of person, speaking of hotels and she was very pleased with our selection.
2- The most important thing for any traveler is the bed´s comfort. The beds and pillows are incredibly clean, linens are white showing they are frequently changed and the matresses are in perfect shape. According to the hotel they have been recently changed, and it is true. The carpets are also very clean.
3- The furniture of the room is quite good, with a brand new LCD screen and a nice desk.
4- The air conditioning worked perfectly.
5- The shower pressure and temperature were perfect also. And again, very, very clean! Bathroom had an excelent adequacy of supplies.
6- The lightning of the room is quite good and it is amazing that although it is close to the airport, noise is not a problem and we had an excelent night of rest.
7- Hotel offers high speed wireless internet access in all rooms, and it´s really fast! Also included is free parking and complimentary hot breakfast. Food quality is excellent, and variety is acceptable. Breakfast area is cozy and again very clean.

We certainly would return if we have to stay a night close to BWI!

Stayed two nights here in August 2007 for business meetings nearby. I've stayed here before prior to and during renovation. The post-renovation changes are good updates, and include comfortable beds and bedding, flat panel TV's, granite counters. Exterior is typical "old school" Hampton.

Hotel is very convenient to the airport and the free shuttles run 24-hours. The shuttles saved me from renting a car, and paying cabs to/from airport. However, plan in advance if you want to take a cab anywhere. 15-20 minutes from the time the front desk called.

Location "is what it is"...great if you want airport access, but not really good if you want to be in center of DC or Baltimore for business or pleasure.

For dinner, there's some decent restaurants in Linthicum, nearby. Highly recommended is the G&M Restaurant, for the best crab cakes you ever had (really...I've been there several times, and used to live in MD).

I found some mildew in the shower, but otherwise cleanliness was good. I'd rate the hotel "above average" because of the recent updates, and generally good service.
