I was in Lexington Park, MD on gov't business. Being unfamiliar with the area, I made reservations at the Days Inn because they had a gov't travel rate, served a hot breakfast, and had a king size non-smoking room with a microwave and refrigerator.
When I opened the door to my room, I was surprised to see that the room was almost all bed!!! You literally could not walk around the room without turning sideways to avoid the bed! The microwave and refrigerator were unbelievably small and the pad on the ironing board was dirty. In addition, the walls were stained in several spots.
I endured the night at the Days Inn (since they had already charged my credit card) and then transferred to the Sleep Inn down the street for the rest of my stay. For the same cost, the Sleep Inn was a HUGE upgrade.
