“Nice room, no frills”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2008

Not a bad experience, about what i expected for a lower priced hotel in the area. The room was clean and comfy but nothing fancy. It did have a mini fridge and microwave which was nice. The biggest problem was that the lock did not work well, didn't automatically lock when you shut the door every time like it was suppose to, had to shut it a few times. Front desk wasn't rude but also didn't give the impression they were really happy to be there helping me check in. Breakfast was standard, toast, bagels, yogurt, waffles.

Hotel was easy to find, right in the middle of Route 1N and 1S. If your not into the breakfast there is a McDonald's just north of the hotel.

Overall, nothing fancy, but definitely a good deal and worth the price, i would stay again.

I spent a lot of time doing research for a reasonably priced hotel for my travels in DC and read some great reviews about this one. This hotel certainly lived up to all of my expectations. It was clean, in a safe area, and only about a 5 minute walk from the MARC train station. The continental breakfast was also pretty good. Having access to the train was especially nice because it was only a $4 ride on the train into DC. If you decide to travel by cab, it's about $25 to get to the hotel from Greenbelt Station. Highly recommended for all travelers.

The worst location I've ever been to. The hotel is situated between two highways-all we heard all night long was a car alarm from a neighboring street and cars driving by all night long. Almost impossible to find and absolutely nothing in walking distance except a terrible hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. Not a family friendly hotel at all-remember to lock your doors at night because it's in the ghetto!! Inside is even worse. The floors in the hallways are so slanted and warped you feel like you're going to fall through the floor as your walking to your room. We weren't sure if there was water damage or the wood was concaving in from underneath us. What renovations-there are no renovations and if there were they better get their money back from their renovator! Even worse, the disgusting smell of mold and the paint chipping from the walls did us in so we went to another hotel down the road! Absolutely, the worst hotel I've ever stayed in!!

Great place to stay when traveling with a family. We picked up the hotel from the exit guide. Since we had never stayed at a Quality Inn we weren't sure on what to expect. However the price for one night fit the bill. Well it turned out that the place was a bit difficult to find, however it was worth the stay! The staff was absolutely wonderful and recommended a great restaurant nearby. The main street area was quaint and yet lively (we were there on a Saturday evening). We would def recommend this hotel.

From the outside, the renamed Quality Inn doesn't look like much. It's an old-style motor inn. But, the remodel on the inside is very nice. The rooms are clean and spacious. The outdoor pool has an attendant and towels. Lobby staff was very pleasant and friendly. My only gripe is the breakfast. It was a little lower quality than other hotels I've stayed at. We had a large group at the hotel and would happily go there again.
