I'm trying to remember why I was a little skeptical when booking this hotel in advance because it was absolutely a terrific place to stay. My younger sister lives in Laurel and when our large family visits, a hotel is just sometimes more relaxing. I have stayed at two other hotels in the area, most recently the Holiday Inn Express, and neither could hold a candle to this place. Great location. Great accommodations. Great breakfast and really nice that they offer something different every morning. We were here six nights and I don't think it ever repeated -- the hot stuff, I'm talking about, not the typical things like waffles, fruit, etc. I'm terrible with names but I think there was a young lady named Gemini at the desk who was super friendly and helpful. The other nights there were different guys who were all equally friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfy, clean. The pictures in the halls and elevator and breakfast area were a nice touch. Everything was pleasing and I can't think of anything more that I would want from a hotel stay. We had to check out a day earlier than planned because I broke out in a rash (that turned out to be an allergic reaction to a prescription) and the guy at the desk was very sympathetic and kind. I wanted a place with breakfast, an outdoor pool, an exercise room, no pets, and a good price and this was all of that and more. No more researching hotels for my next trip to Laurel! Oh, when we were leaving, we ran into the people in the room next to us and were surprised to see they had young children. We never heard a sound through the walls.
I can't imagine any room would be bad here because it is set back a block from the busy road. W...
