I was a little concerned after reading some of the negative reviews, but I encountered only friendly, helpful staff-from the front desk, housekeeping, the breakfast attendant, and the awesome van driver. We utilized the free shuttle to the Metro, and I was delighted with how fast we were able to get a ride both going and coming. The driver is a real gem. The person behind the desk greeted you very personally, and she made us feel very welcome-even offering bottled water on our way to the Metro to start our long day of sightseeing. Everybody has "things" they want from their hotel. Mine are clean, comfortable rooms, good mattresses, and a great air conditioner. Our air was running when we arrived-a major plus for me. I hate a hot room you have to wait to cool down. Our room was clean, seemed recently redecorated, and the mattress was not too firm. I hate a really firm mattress, but it was just right. We requested extra pillows, and they brought them right away. The breakfast was fine-just like other Hamptons. They are building a breakfast area, which will be nice. They are also working on the business center to improve it. The bathroom is kind of small, but it worked for us. The vanity was outside by itself, which helped. I had a great stay here, and I will likely return with my family.
