“Great place to stop for lunch on US 301 ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2013

Agree with most other reviewers' comments. We had tasty homemade meatloaf and country fried chicken. Good food and smiling, attentive waitresses. Arrived a little before Noon on a weekday, no wait, but the place filled up quickly. Will stop here again when passing through the area

“Local gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2013 via mobile

If you are in the mood for good old country cooking, this is the place to go. Best breakfast in the area. The biscuits are delicious, and I am still thinking about how fluffy the pancakes were. The staff is friendly and attentive.

“A local favorite”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2013

While I'll admit the interior isn't very exciting, the food -- and portions -- at Marie's can't be beat. Quite popular with the locals, breakfast, lunch and dinner at the diner are all fantastic. My husband and I pop in often to meet friends and family, and we recently brought out-of-town relatives in for breakfast. They were all pleased with the down-home cooking, delicious coffee and relaxed atmosphere, and we made them promise to come back with us sometime for seafood!

I've tried everything from pancakes to fish to their version of the gold rush sandwich, and I haven't had a bad meal yet. The servers are friendly, the food is delivered fast and hot and every experience is a good one. Don't miss out on the eclairs, brought in from locally famous Walls Bakery, or the delicious ice cream for dessert. The pumpkin is a family favorite!

“Awesome and good price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2013

If you like country back home cooking, this is the place for you. The restaurant itself is not much to look at, but I didn't go for the looks. The food is very good and the peons are huge. The best part is that it doesn't leave a dent in your wallet.

“A little dumpy looking but the food was great!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

The place needs a face lift both inside and out. However, it was clean and comfortable. The service was good and the food was excellent.

The portions are huge. The pancakes are the size of a hubcap but good. Also get a biscuoit. I am not a biscut person and I loved them. Also my omlete was fantastic so get one of those as well.

Totally worth it.
