“Young establishment, but relaxing and nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

The Crow Farm winery and B&B is beautiful, casual, and relaxing. The couple who owns/runs it are very nice, but don't seem to have worked out all of the logistics of running a farm, winery, B&B, and tasting room. When we went, their tasting room only offered two types of wine, both white. But we had a fantastic, relaxing weekend.

This is just as it seems--a peaceful, friendly, comfortable getaway--plus a blossoming vineyard. Judy and Russ are veteran, accommodating hosts, relaxed and knowing. The bedrooms are a little larger than average and quite homey. You can book a complimentary tour of the vineyard and wine-making process to go with a good taste or two of wine, plus cookies and other handy snacks. Judy checks in with you about food preferences and delivers a delicious, full-fledged breakfast--not oversized, but filling--and you can also book a reasonable country dinner, if you like. The website is on target and easy to navigate. The homestead is surrounded by acres of peaceful farm in a county loaded with them. Touring is not optimal, but pleasant, with a choice of shops and "walk-arounds" in Chestertown, MIddletown, Odessa, and other smaller towns along the way. And the farm is not a long drive from Baltimore, Wilmington, Philly, Jersey, and nearby counties. Thank you for noting if this entry was helpful to you; I hope it was.

Room Tip: We liked the vineyard view; the pasture view is pleasant, too, though it's bath is outside the r...

Thank you for the wonderful roast, sausage and scrapple. We enjoyed all of them on Christmas Day. They were delicious and were enjoyed by the entire family. The tour of the wine making room was quite impressive. Kent County is fortunate to have such a unique farm stay and winery. Thank you Judy!

We were two couples looking for a bed & breakfast on the Eastern Shore on a busy weekend. St. Michaels was hosting the Con'cours de Elegance, Oxford was hosting a yacht race and there wasn't a room to be found. So my search began on Trip Advisor to find a b&b for the four of us that was comfortable, but would not break the bank. I happened on Crow Farm and it instantly struck my interest because our friends enjoy wine. I quickly contacted the b&b and spoke with Judy. They had one vacancy which happened to be the Farm Cottage. A two bedroom cottage with living room, bath and kitchen. It was perfect for the four of us! We arrived a bit late, but Judy had advised that they would be picking Barbera grapes that day and would be around the farm all day busy picking and sorting and if we were interested, we could join them in the sorting process. So after the wine tasting with Doug which we all enjoyed, we decided to join the family and friends that were already sorting the grapes, and lend a hand. What an experience! Everyone was so nice and were helpful in explaining what we needed to do during the sorting process. After we were done, we were treated to a tour of the process of wine making. We watched as they put the grapes that we just sorted in the large vat and they showed us the different stages of the fermentation. Since the cottage has it's own kitchen, you do not get the breakfast included, but Judy stocked us up with croissants and frest fruit (including some Barbera grapes - delicious!) So we chose to purchase a ham steak and some sausage links to make with our eggs the next morning! What a good choice! Both of the meats were delicious! Before we left, we took some beautiful pictures of the farm and the amazing sunrise. We were able to see the newborn calf that had been born on the day we arrived, we fed the miniature horses some apples and of course, and enjoyed the peace and serenity around us. We were not leaving without purchasing some sparking wine and some meats to take home with us. Thanks to Judy, Roy, Doug and everyone at the Crow Farm for an amazing experience and comfortable overnight stay! ...We'll be back!

My husband and I spent our anniversary weekend at Crow Farm - it was incredible! You are close enough to Chestertown to take advantage of the town and all it's going's ons, but far enough away that we really felt like we got away from it all. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable and the farm itself was beautiful. Judy and Roy were so nice and inviting - Judy even took us and a few other guests to see the animals. Great stay!

I've never been compelled to write a review online about a hotel, but my wife and I had such a great time at Crow Farm that we felt we needed to share it! We stayed for a summer weekend and were instantly welcomed upon our arrival and invited to a wine tasting and tour with Brandon, which was awesome! Everything at the B&B was very comfortable, clean, and cozy - with nice little touches throughout. Breakfast was delicious - just the right amount of food and all naturally produced and mostly local. Judy and Roy were great hosts and made us feel at home - they even made us feel welcome to roam on the trails along their farmland - it's a beautiful property! We also couldn't resist a quick dip in the pool which was also a nice thing to have onsite because Eastern Shore can be stinkin' hot!! There are some good seafood restaurants nearby in Tolchester and Rock Hall, and it was actually a quick scenic drive to Dover too. It was a great surprise and we will definitely be back.

My wife and I spent a weekend at Crowfarm. It is a great place if you want to relax and enjoy country life. The service is awesome! Judy and Roy are really nice and professional. They try to make you feel good at every moment.
The day starts with and incredible breakfast, served with all natural products, most of them from the farm. You can then enjoy a walk around the farm. There is a tasting room where you can try the wines which are really good.
The rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. The rooms offer incredible views to the barn, wineyard and pasture.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Crow Farm. It is ideal for couples or families who want to relax and experience farm life.
By far it has been one of our best weekends ever!
