I stayed here on business this month. The property resembles townhouses and is like an extended stay. My suite had recently been renovated. It was tastefully decorated and clean. The beds were very comfy. The tub and shower were nice and plenty of hot water. There was even a fireplace complete with a ready to go fire log. The kitchen has full size appliances including a dish washer. If I was ever in the area again, I would stay here. I wish I could have stayed more than one night.

We stayed at this Chase Suites on our way to Florida. This place is just like having your own little apartment away from home. We actually liked being in a separate building. It was a cold snowy night but the walk from our building to the main building for snacks/breakfast was actually kind of neat! There were meatball sandwiches the night we were there and had we known they were so substantial we would have skipped dinner! The kitchen was great, the internet easy to use, but the FIREPLACE. We loved the fireplace and kept going back for more logs!!! It made it feel like we were in a ski resort! The only down side was the bathroom. It was small and outdated. We loved the room so much we really didn't care. We were on a first floor and very close to our car and a small grassy area for our dog. They also had a small laundry area which came in handy.

We will definitely try to plan to stay here in the future.

The Chase Suites Hunt Valley are in an unremarkable (but convenient) location, and offer some unique amenities you won't find anywhere else; however, there are also amenities that you will find everywhere else but you won't find here.

The hotel is located right next to the Warren Road light rail station, which takes you to Baltimore - very convenient if you have activities in Baltimore but don't want to drive/park downtown; just make sure you know when the last train leaves so you don't get stranded downtown. Beyond that, most of the surrounding area is made up of office buildings/factories/etc. - not what I'd call beautiful, but not terribly ugly, either.

The hotel layout is very unique; there are twelve separate buildings, and the clubhouse/pool/basketball court are at the front of the complex. This means you have to walk to the main building to get your free breakfast in the morning, but it's not a long walk at all. The free breakfast was excellent - cereals, Belgian waffles, breakfast breads/pastries, plus an additional, rotating hot entree every morning (7 days/week). I also found the staff to be helpful and friendly.

As for the room itself, it was fairly spacious, with a very comfortable sofa and leather chair (plus ottomans), and a flat screen TV mounted on the wall above the fireplace (with a far more complete cable offering than any other hotel I've ever stayed in). There was also a spacious work table and a full kitchen (and I mean FULL kitchen, with EVERYTHING included). The shower/toilet and sink areas were separate, with plenty of counterspace and closet space. Also very clean.

There are only two main drawbacks, which are the only things preventing me from staying here every time I'm in the area. Since I will be in the area for business and am planning on booking a 75-night stay in the near future, I will want a hotel affiliated with a rewards program of some sort, which Chase/Woodfin does not have. Even though Chase/Woodfin has very few locations nationwide, I'd still consider staying here if they had some sort of rewards program at all.

The other main drawback is that the website advertises "Access to full service gym," but this is not true. There is no gym at all.

Moral of the story - if you are looking for a hotel with a gym and/or a rewards program, you won't find it here; but if these two things are not a consideration for you, I would HIGHLY recommend the Chase Suites at Woodfin - you won't find any other place like this anywhere around here, especially for the price!

When a family is on vacation, hotel amenities are important. But when there is a medical need to be away from home, the little kindnesses that hotel personnel offer mean more than words can say.

My son and I had the fortune to stay at Chase Suites Hotel in Hunt Valley while he was undergoing surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. As a 18-year old, he did not need for me to stay at the hospital with him, but I wanted to be able to be with him as much as possible during his 6-day stay, then have a nice place for him to "come home to" after his surgery and before we left to return home to South Carolina.

I have to say that the hotel staff was incredibly understanding, compassionate, and helpful with all my needs while my son was hospitalized. I felt like I was staying with family! The concern and kindness of the staff will not be forgotten! There was also food provided for two meals--breakfast and supper. And there were even cookouts with burgers and hotdogs provided! WOW!

The features of the suite were amazing for the price--a full kitchen, large bath, sitting-room area. I would have to say that the accomodations were equal to those of several 4-star hotels where I have stayed. And the first thing my son said was, "This is the BEST bed I have ever slept in!"

And to have transportation available to help me meet the Johns Hopkins shuttle was a real convenience! I have no problem with public transportation, and used it many times (the hotel is about two blocks from the light train), but it was nice to be able to call up and get a ride to the grocery store, etc.

Being frugal and knowing that our need to be in Baltimore fell right in the middle of the "high season," I did not want to pay $200-$300 per night plus food. The Chase Suite Hotel was PERFECT for our needs! Thanks to all the staff, and best wishes!
