WOW.. what a letdown. I had visited the market on two other occasions with better experiences. However, tonight it seemed as though nothing was in the cards to go right. The wing bar lacked hot wings and some of the wing bins only had a few shriveled up wings in them. Of course it was the chipotle and old bay wings. Nearly an hour later.. the same wings remained. There seemed to be adequate staff in the area; however, not staff that wanted to perform the duties to ensure the paying customers were taken care of. We ordered a 12" pizza (a first for us), and was greatly disappointed with this also. It was their special of the evening and I am glad we didn't pay more for it then we did, for it wasn't worth anymore then the $6.99 paid. We had individual slices from the larger pizza in the past, which far surpassed this experience. Maybe additional training is required in the pizza making department. Last.. a glass of wine from the wine bar. Well.. another disappointment as the two bottles that we tasted and liked went empty soon after the tasting. Approximately 30 minutes later we gave up for them to be replenished and decided to head home. Prior to leaving we asked who the manager was, and for contact information. We were informed that .. that was personal information and could not be given out! OMG who says that.. just go into Wal-Mart and most stores and the information is posted on the walls. I guess what this tells me is that the manager of the McKay's Market doesn't want to be bothered with any feedback.
Anyone that is familiar with the Wegman's chain... this store is in NO WAY... anywhere close.. the two shouldn't even be mentioned in the same discussion!
Great idea.. great concept.. just seems as though some major tweaking needs to take place !
