I'm usually not picky but you can tell if you stay in a lot of hotels when upgrades need to take place. This place is at that point so my advice is to choose something else in the area until they start putting some renovation money into this place. Other things that I like and it's not here is a bar/restaurant within walking distance, fast internet (I'm currently only getting 11 Mbps and dancing girls......Just kidding with the dancing girls comment.

We always start our vacation with a Holiday Inn Express because they are consistently nice and so convenient to the airports. We got a great rate on this one and expected it to be like the others, but it was poorer in quality.

The free shuttle was terrific, with the friendly driver showing up immediately (even at midnight)! It took about 20 minutes to get to the hotel from the airport. Check-in was easy, but as soon as we got to our room, we were bombarded with a strong musty/mildewy odor which made my daughter's allergies kick in. The curtains didn't close (just the sheer curtain) and therefore had a bright light from the parking lot. There was no noise, which was great, and the a/c worked well.

I never complain about hotel breakfasts, but this one, although a nice variety, was not very good. I spotted a hair on the sausages, and the eggs were made from powder. When we went back to gather our stuff from the room before we checked out, we noticed plastic silverware under the beds that hadn't been cleaned up from the previous guest.

However, once again, the friendly shuttle guy took us to the train station free of charge. It was only a few hours in the hotel, and it was a good stopover. But I just wanted to say that not all Holiday Inns are at the same level of quality! Lesson learned.

Lobby area was okay, staff was okay. Room had an odor and could have been cleaner. The most irritating thing of all were the "thin walls", you could hear the person(s) in the next room and we heard more than we wanted to from a couple next to us. Sounds you didn't want to explain to your children. We were awakened and sickened by this from midnight up until about 4 hours later. Some things are meant to be private and not heard by others in a hotel.

This hotel was in a great location. My husband and I stayed there with our 2 small children for two nights in June. It was a short drive to the inner harbour and was close to Medieval Times - the two places we were visiting during our stay. Breakfast was pretty good and the hotel was fairly clean. I requested a crib for my daughter online when booking the room and it was ready and waiting when we got there which was a pleasant surprise. The only reason I would not return is the beds. I have a bad back and found the mattresses to be very lumpy and soft.

It seems that with HIEs you never quite know what you'll get. However, this hotel was fantastic. We stayed there the night before our flight home. We returned our car to the rental facility which is only about a mile from the hotel. then called them and they sent their shuttle to pick us up and take us back to the hotel, free of charge. There is a Denney's adjacent to the hotel, but there are a couple of other restaurants behind the hotel that we didn't notice until we went for a walk later that evening.
The hotel and room were very clean, the staff very friendly, accomodating and efficient. The shuttle driver was informative and professional. All in all a great stay and will absolutely stay there again when in the area.

We stayed for 5 nights, May 12-17 and after reading some reviews I was very scared. I will say the hotel staff is not super friendly, but neither are the people at the Budget Rental car counter. Our room on the 3rd floor was clean, bed was comfy, wifi was okay, it went in and out due to the planes. The breakfast bar was sufficent, it served our needs. We did not utilize the pool or fitness center, so I can't comment on that. Overall, it met our expectations for the price we paid.

Newly remodeled, super close to the airport, good restaurant/room service, great service, a very well equipped business center, free (and fast) internet and a super-clean, super modern, fitness center. I've only seen one hotel fitness center better than this one so far in the U.S. (and I stay at a LOT of hotels!). A 24-hour shuttle

If the restaurant had just been a bit better, I would have rated this hotel "excellent" but for the price, you can't beat this hotel...
