Went to Maiwand Kabob for lunch just to see if it stacks up to other kabob places I frequent. I had the mantwo appetizer and the Chicken tikki marsala kabob. Both items were pretty good, but a little heavy on the spices. The place was clean and busy during the lunch rush, but the service was great. I would recommend calling in your order because everything is cooked when you order. No pre-made entrees which is a plus in my book. I eat here regularly since it's around the corner from work. I find the food is always hot and fresh and the service is always friendly. My favorite is the boneless chicken kabobs. One suggestion, call ahead. Since everything is made to order it takes time, but it is worth it.

Food is always great, but they've been out of samosas the last three times I've been there. It's also made to order so be prepared to wait a while if you don't call ahead.

I often get the vegetarian option, but never has it been as flavorful as at Maiwan~ I also got one of the appetizers that was quite good--the bolani--one with scallions and the other with potatoes...quite good!
