10 of us went to Fratelli's for a celebration. I had heard there crab cakes were amazing, and they were able to accommodate our party at the time we wanted to eat. Actually they were VERY accommodating when I changed the reservation twice more before we gathered there to eat. Each request was cheerfully accepted. 7 of us decided to try the Italian fare, the others wanted to put their crab cakes to the test. Our waitress was very helpful, navigating those that were dairy intolerant through the menu, and when she didn't know the answer, she went into the kitchen to talk with the chef. Recognizing a diary issue at the table, she brought out an extra serving of the community salad with no cheese and no dressing. She also brought out an order of breadsticks without butter and told us she asked, and they were made without milk ingredients. I'm always pleased when a server really listens, and goes out of their way to accommodate requests. .
So, how was the food? The crab cakes were impressive. Lots of jumbo lump, little filler. The fries chosen with them were crispy and seasoned well. Though the portions were large, several guests managed to finish their food. Those that didn't requested containers to pack it up, planning a tasty lunch the next day.
The only reason I gave 4 stars was 1) There is no option for 4.5 stars. 2) Though they will accommodate your allergies, all of the sauces (including the wine/olive oil based sauces) contained butter. If I hadn't asked, those that are dairy intolerant would have assumed a description of white wine, olive oil, and garlic was dairy free.
We are looking forward to our next visit
