I love the museum and the events it has. Get a membership and the event costs are quite reasonable, if not free. You're also made aware ahead of what's going on. They offer art classes for kids too that are very engaging and teach the kids all sorts of subjects about art. The performance area is a bit small, but adequate for most events. The new pavillion is fantastic and a relaxing place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee while taking a break from visiting the exhibits. Bring some bread or croutons to feed the geese and ducks outside in the pond and the kids will have a great time. The displays change regularly so there's always something different to go and experience. I can't believe I saw an original Norman Rockwell last time I went. What a treat!!!
