“Great Experience-Recommend!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

We used our Reward Points to stay this past weekend at Sleep Inn. All around great experience. Check in was quick and very pleasant-the girl at the desk was very nice! Our room was large, with very high ceilings-never heard any noise above us. Beds were super comfy, shower had good room and water pressure and room was clean. Had a minor issue with the a/c but it was attended to immediately. My husband couldn't access the WiFi from our room but had no issues in the comfy lobby chair. The breakfast had a great selection-kids loved! Loved overlooking the farm with the sheep out our window. Easy walking distance to a delicous dinner at Cracker Barrel and close to a lot of things-Outlet Malls-3 mins, restaurants 2-5 mins, Antietam Battlefields-15 mins. The pool was awesome. It is indoors which was great b/c it was cloudy and they even have a hot tub. Clean and well maintained, with pool towels for use. We live close by but this was a great weekend getaway. We will stay again in the future as well as recommend it. Thanks for the great service and quality. A+

Room Tip: Rooms facing the back offer a farm/field view where sheep are grazing. The parking lot out back is l...

We were in Hagerstown for the AAU Jr. Olympic National track & field Qualifying Championships. The hotel was only 1-1/2 miles away from the track, which was great for travel back and forth. Check-in went very well as we were allowed to check in a couple of hours early, to beat the heat at the track. The front desk staff was both pleasant and helpful.

The room (123) was a little smaller than what we expected. We were given an accessible room with two double beds and requested a roll-away (Can you say "tight squeeze"?) The bathroom was also small (shower/toilet behind a pocket door). The vanity and sink were in the room with the beds.

The Breakfast was good, but could have provided a little more variety on the meat side... no bacon. The pool is a bit on the small side and the hot tub was not very hot at all.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review on TripAdvisor! I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay and that you found our location to your event so close. I am sorry to hear that the room was too small for you when you added the rollaway bed. We do have suites available with 2 double beds and a pull out sofa that might better meet your needs. They do tend to book fast in the summer months, so please let me know when you will be visiting again and we will be happy to reserve one for you. You will be happy to see on your next visit that we have added lots of extras to our breakfast buffet, including bacon, sausage gravy and biscuits to name a few. We look forward to having you as a guest again when you are in Hagerstown.

Best Regards,

Kathy Vrcic

Check in with a very gracious young lady was a pleasure. No accent, so communication was not an issue. Was actually thanked for being a rewards client. Room was as clean and neat as anyone could hope for, and quiet as well.. The breakfast was beyond expectations. In addition to the usual cereal and sweet breads, it featured sausage, eggs, big waffles, yogurts, biscuits w/gravy, and more. Easily saved us $15 if we had to eat elsewhere.

Room Tip: cable tv programming hard to fathom. Need a channel directory

The rooms were very clean and neat. The staff were very friendly and efficient. They made our short stay a pleasure. The room was quiet and the beds were comfortable, I got one of the best sleeps while staying at a motel ever. On the over all rating, this one was really a six or seven dot but could only give it five. Would stay here again in a heart beat.

Room Tip: If all the rooms were like ours, just check in.

This hotel is really nice. We stopped on the way back to North Carolina from our vacation in New York State and the room was very comfortable and clean. We had two dogs and they only charge $10 per pet per night. The nearby Cracker Barrel and Waffle House are very convenient since they are on the other side of the parking lot. We went in the pool and spa when we arrived; however, the bottoms of both were very dirty (unless that brown stuff is stains!) but other than that we had no problems. The room had a fridge and microwave, which came in handy, and there were areas all around the hotel exterior to walk the dogs. We were in a hurry to leave in the morning so unfortunately we didn't try the continental breakfast. The front desk staff are awesome!

Room Tip: Face the back. You can see a pasture with sheep and llamas!

Thank you for your kind review of our hotel! We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. Please be assured that the pool an spa are very clean. We did have a problem with our sand filter, but that has been resolved. We hope your travels bring you our way again very soon.

We stayed here on our way home from a long vacation, and the hotel was nice. The kids had a good time in the pool, although it was kind of small. Breakfast had a large selection and was constantly being replenished.

We've stayed here once before and liked it. The fact they are pet-friendly is wonderful. The lobby stairs tend to gather folks who "oohh & ahh" at the cute dogs as they check in or out. I would choose a room on the south side because it looks out upon an extremely attractive pasture with boulders & trees, showing off western Maryland's natural beauty. There is a picnic table out there so you can sit & admire the view. The staff is friendly, and our rooms have always been clean. On this (our second visit) we were dismayed with the bathroom arrangement. It was not like our room the 1st time. There was a shower stall (nice & spacious & clean) & the toilet in a "closet" that was very dimly lit. The yellowy overhead light was so dim it made it feel creepy & not clean. We asked maintenance if they could replace the bulb with a brighter one and was told none were available, that was the new "style". Yuk! My other batroom complaints were that there was very little counter space at the sink area and that the lone towel hook in the shower closet was slippery gleaming chrome & so no matter how carefully you hooked your towel or bathrobe over it, it was sure to slide right off into or onto or next to the toilet. Double yuk.

Room Tip: Ask for a bathroom with good lighting!

Thank you for recently being our guest and taking the time to share your comments. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us and had the opportunity to enjoy our beautiful scenery in our back yard. We receive many compliments regarding the pasture with the sheep, and the quiet country setting. I am sorry that you found the bathroom lighting to be dim. The new CFL light bulbs take longer to warm up and become bright. We are listed as a "green" property, and we have adopted many energy saving policies. The bulbs will get bright, but they aren't bright as soon as you turn on the switch. It can take some getting used to. We look forward to having the opportunity to serve you again.

Respectfully,
