In the heart of Gattett County MD, near Deep Creek Lake and many natural areas, the Elliott House has recently changed ownership. This is all to the good. The cottages are wonderfully comfortable with gas fireplaces in both, all modern bathroom facilities and cable TV. The lovely old house has several more rooms, and they are equally charming.

The breakfasts are totally excellent. One can skip lunch after one of Julyen's breakfasts. The inn is locted on the Cassellman River, a popular trout fishing destination. Since I was there in the winter, I can only imagine how lovely this place would be in autumn when the leaves turn. I will definitely go back !

If you are looking for a beautiful B&B so close to I68 that you believe the truck traffic is coming through your bedroom windows then the Elliott House is for you.

Wear your ear plugs to get some sleep so you can enjoy the wonderful home cooked breakfast served in the pre-fab building.

Beautiful countryside setting, next to a restored village now a setting for artisans. A short walk from an historic bridge. We did not stay in the victorian house, but stayed in a small modern facility that was quite comfortable. There was a hot tub, sauna,pool table and excersize equipment. Several parks are within a short distance. Breakfast consisted of blueberry pancakes, a delicious fruit sals, breads and an assortment of yogurts and cereals. Very friendly hostess.
