Tried this restaurant out of pure curiosity. I had never heard of it and didn't read the reviews. Initial impressions walking into the restaurant are bad. There is a musty odor and the place is very dark. There was silverware being rolled in plain site right as you walk in as well.
Since the inside was literally as dark as a dungeon and it was nice out we sat outside. It's a small deck with no views, actually a view of someone's house...they were outside grilling and peered at us as we ate.
The bar top is rough cut lumber which is very cool and they serve tons of rum...I didn't count but I'd say it's over 100 rums.
We got the nachos and mussels for appetizer. The nachos were very bad, almost no cheese or toppings. Someone at the table actually joked and said they should have just given us a bag of chips. The mussels were pretty good, not too tough with good flavor.
The entrees were no better, the fish tacos were dry and flavorless. Salmon the same. The only entree that got a good rating at the table was a hamburger.
Overall this place needs some major work on the atmosphere and food. It's location does not help it but that could be overlooked if the food and service was amazing. Unfortunately it's not.
