We dined at The Grill at Quarterfield Station in Glen Burnie this past weekend. From the moment we walked in the door the people were friendly and the waitresses were terrific. It was our first experience and we liked everything about it (except the tables are a little close together.) Most importantly, the food was excellent. This is the kind of restaurant where you can be a first timer or one of the repeat customers and you know you’ll be treated right.
Since it was our first time at The Grill, our waitress, Sloane, took time to guide us through the menu and specials, checked up on us frequently and made sure we were satisfied. She did a great job! In a lot of ways, she made a good experience even better. First thing we had was a small basket of hot bread which included the most delicious corn bread I’ve ever had. We also had tossed salads before the main dishes arrived. I ordered the grilled pork chop with mashed potatoes and broccolini. I can only describe the chop as big and flavorful. While I’d describe the mashed potatoes as good, I’d have to say the broccolini was a little tough. My wife had the creole with shrimp, crabmeat and chunks of rockfish. Her meal was even better than mine – and that’s saying something. We never felt rushed and Sloane was attentive throughout the meal. At the end, we were treated to delicious pumpkin muffins.
We’d like to go back again soon and try some of the other dishes we saw the waitresses serve. It‘d be worth it because The Grill is the kind of place where you can get a good meal for a good price.
