“Very decent hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2014

Well kept, nice common areas, huge seating area for breakfast although they should have used a bit of that room to put more breakfast choices in. No waffle maker and not many choices of muffins, bread or bagels (basically one or two choices for each category). Awful coffee but that's to be expected at a hotel most of the time. The beds were comfortable and there wasn't much noise being shared between rooms so we got a good nights rest. It seems well built and the staff was very professional and courteous. This is about the best you will get for the price.

Stayed in one of the rooms with a sleeper sofa. It was great for the kids. The breakfast was good with a decent selection. The hotel is older but very well maintained. Overall a nice hotel at a decent price for the area.

We stayed for one night at this hotel.. the hotel is new with modern interiors and is pet friendly.. Rooms are clean but slightly smaller than other two queen bed rooms we stayed in.. the room initially smelled of what I concluded was furniture polish but was ok once we got the ac fan running.. breakfast was decent .However, the parking space was a little cramped and the person at the reception when we checked in at night could be a little more welcoming.. Having said that I would stay here again if I m in the area

The hotel was clean and comfortable. I stayed in a king suite. The room was very nice and a good value is also had a fold out sofa sleeper. The breakfast was good with some protein choices. The staff was welcoming and helpful. I would definitely stay again!

We stayed at this hotel recently and I was pleasantly surprised. Checking in was very nice with friendly staff. The rates are very reasonable for being so close to Washington D.C., I think we paid $105/night. The rooms are very modern and set up well. Standard mini fridge and microwave as well. Pretty spacious overall. The complimentary breakfast was one of the best I had seen in recent years with quite a few choices. I will definitely be staying here again.

In town for a friend's wedding, we were here only the preceding night, before heading on to NYC. On the road 170 nights per year for work, we're often limited by distance to a job site. If every hotel was this nice (for this price, too), we'd have it made. Everything was spotless, comfortable, good quality. Lobby and breakfast area is well-planned, pleasant. Staff was exceptional in their appearance, courtesy, efficiency (two clerks tried to check us out at the same time). We thought the breakfast excellent, which is usually true of Holiday Inn chain. The pool was lovely but we didn't have time to enjoy it. We'll stay here again next time we're in this area.

Room Tip: Our room faced the road (second floor), but we had no issues with any outside noise. It's usuall...

Thank you for taking time to review your stay while at the Holiday Inn Express Germantown. We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay especially such an experienced traveler as yourself. I am looking up the staff which worked the morning of your departure to commend them on such great service. I know you must have loved our delicious cinnamon rolls we are famous for making warm and savory. Please keep us in mind for future visits to the area.

First off, the walls in this hotel are beyond thin considering my daughters elbow bumped into the wall while zippering her suitcase and a small hole developed into the wall. They charged us 275$ for damage any repair man could fix at easily 50$ at the most. Nevermind, asking them about this they were beyond rude, sarcastic, and smirked. The manager was not professional in any way shape or form, and treated you like she was superior to you. For a simple accident and something easily fixed, no need to pay 275$. RIP OFF

Green Features: not environmentally friendly at all. The desk clerks smirk when you ask questions, and become very sarcastic when they don't get their way.

Dear KellyL219

Thank you for taking time to review our hotel. We apologize for your dissatisfaction of the damage fee assessed as a result of the repair to the nine inch hole in the wall of our guest room. Even though our hotel is cinder block built to ensure insulation the damage was unfortunate. I understand your frustration when you have to pay for your child’s damage to a guest room.

Please accept our sincerest apology for your disappointment.
