I stayed at this hotel for business, and I would definitely stay again! The hotel staff was very friendly and courteous, but to be honest my interaction with them was limited to the front desk. The hotel room was extremely clean and comfortable. My only complaints are that when you flushed the toilet it literally sounded like the entire bathroom was going to cave in, and when someone else (maybe next door or above?) in another room flushed THEIR toilet, the piping made the same noise. The air conditioning was incredibly loud so I couldn't leave that on at night, but other than the noise level (minor, in this case!) the hotel was great.

Room Tip: Avoid adjoining rooms - my neighbors were noisy and I could hear their entire conversations!

I have had our chief engineer look into the noise problems you mentioned and they have been corrected. Plumbing and air conditioning is checked every month in every room during our routine preventive maintenance inspections. I am sorry if this inconvenienced you. We hope to see you soon.

I have stayed at this hotel on previous occasions for business meetings. Hotel was organizations choice. Reservation and check in were very good! The restaurant rarely has anyone to greet guests. The service tends to be slow at lunch and dinner. Staff is very pleasant and accomodating. Check out at the desk was very good. The problem was that the guest elevators did not appear to all be working and the housekeeping staff were using the guest elevators for their carts. No room for guests with luggage to get on the cars.

Thank you for staying with us with us at Hilton Gaithersburg. We are very appreciative of your review about the restaurant as it was discussed with the Restaurant Manager and F&B Director to address and fix your observations.
In regards to the elevators, they tend to operate slower than usual if any of the cars has to be serviced. We do apologize that of the 3 cars, one does the dual work for the hard working housekeepers in keeping the hotel clean and have rooms ready which is also being shared with customers. The housekeepers are very polite and respectful that if the service elevator has customers on board, they will wait for a vacant car before getting to the required floor/s where they need to go.
Should you return to the area, we hope that you will consider staying with us again. Thanks again for your comments.

The staff was very friendly and competent, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. I spent 4 nights here for business purposes, and really enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and comfortable with a marble vanity and dresser top. it was a little noisy because my room was next to the stairs which were metal and concrete which meant that I could hear people if they ran up or down. Didn't really bother me much, though. The best thing was that the bathroom mirror was heated and therefore didn't steam up despite a long hot shower. Love it!

Room Tip: As I mentioned, the room next to the stairwell was not ideal.

The hotel is very reasonable. It has basically everything you typically need: clean room, WiFi, breakfast.
I stayed here for a conference, and received a group rate which included WiFi and breakfast, but am not sure whether the normal rate includes these essentials.
The location is not so great, but of course depends on where you need to be. It is about 35 minutes from Reagan airport without traffic, and over an hour in rush hour.


There is also a small shopping center right by the hotel, for those of use who cannot go back home from a business trip empty-handed.

I spent two nights here - as attending a nearby conference and reserved through a group rate.
Would not recommend reservation at standard rates.
I used their shuttle service to the get to the metro station, which is not very near by. Driver was very friendly.
Location is definitely not a good choice for someone wishing to travel to DC centre.
Property is a out dated and would benefit from renovation of infrastructure.
I sadly was woken on both nights by noise apparently caused by heating system - did not have time to report this.
In room safe was locked on arrival - they did not handle this the first time after I mentioned it. Had to request twice more I believe.
I used their downstairs safe - they were quite slow in assistance with that both in depositing and collecting.
The breakfast included in my room rate was nice.
Overall I would recommend to someone wanting to stay in area to check alternative hotels options.

Our stay was very comfortable. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, temperature adjusted easily, the staff was friendly and courteous. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options. This was a very good value.

I recently spent 4 nights here and had a good stay. The shuttle is convenient, breakfast is great, and it's convenient to several restaurants and retail shops. It is a bit far from DC on the metro, but between the free parking and the shuttle (with great drivers!!!) it's worth the long ride. I had no trouble with customer service or my bill either. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this location.
