“Very impressed!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012 via mobile

Having never before eaten in one of these restaurants, we were very pleased with the overall experience. The menu is great. We had such a hard time picking our meal, which incidentally was a bacon and cheddar panini and Caesar salad. Both were excellent. The salad was fresh and had lots of dressing...just like we like it. And the panini was crisp and hot. And we had our food within about 5 minutes. This was such a nice change from the typical fast food chain.

The store was clean and well kept. Bathrooms were pleasant. The cashier was extremely friendly and patient. And the waiter who brought us our food was most kind.

In my mind, the value was great overall. A large Caesar was $7.50 with chicken and $4.50 for a panini. These prices seem normal. But I think $2 each for a medium soda and hot tea is a bit much. I know...that's minor. But still...

We're very much looking forward to our next visit. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who's considering eating there.

“A nice choice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

Decided we needed more than just coffee and a roll so we strolled in here and had a full breakfast. You have to wait in line and give your order, but they bring the meal to the table and the food is substantial and tasty. Pastries looked exceptional. Coffee, juice and breakfast hit the spot.

“Good for a light dinner.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

We stopped in around 8:30 for a light dinner, and this fit the bill. Was convenient to the SpringHill Suites where we were spending the night.

“Good Sunday Morning Breakfast Spot!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

Found the Corner Bakery on a Sunday morning while on a to Washington, DC's Washingtonian Center. Bakery items were fantastic, along with the salad (got to love the shredded lettuce). Coffee was VERY POPULAR! Reasonably priced. Only negative comment would have to be on the service. Their process needs work on servers bringing food to the tables. By the time they find your number and where you are sitting, your food may possibly be lukewarm to cold.

“Disappointing Service and lackluster Food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2012

Corner Bakery has been around a long time and used to be a high quality establishment. While the baked goods are still just fine, I have noticed service has declined at this franchise and the food is lackluster at best. The spinach salad took forever to get (it was sitting on the counter for a long time waiting to be picked up) and wasn't very fresh. The store would not provide any multigrain or whole grain alternative to the offered white focaccia, even though it has those options. I suspect this was due to employer laziness or disgruntledness!

Hit potbelly nearby - much better.
