The Old Town (OT) sections of Gaithersburg, Maryland is bounded by 2 streets: Summit Street and Diamond Avenue. Located along these two main roads are the following:

Commuter Train Station that offers tickets to various areas of Maryland. It has a small restaurant for snacks and drinks plus toilet facilities;

OT Museum, Gaithersburg Municipal Building, St. Martin's Catholic Church, High-rise Public Garage;

Ethnic restaurants serving foods from: Thailand, Mexico, West African, San Salvador;

American restaurants with Brewery/American foods plus a Pizza Delivery;

Bakeries with baked goods from Guatemala and San Salvador;

Stores with: Antique Goods, Second-hand Goods, Athletic Goods, Small Appliances & Repairs, Small Tools Rental, Paint Supplier;

Barber Shops, Laundry Mart, Various Offices;

Other Stores: selling books, ethnic groceries, money remittance services, car repair services, etc.

One can also see the NEW high rise apartment buildings located along East Diamond Avenue.

During summertime, one can attend the FREE CONCERTS in OT Gaithersburg on Friday nights. Periodically there are BOOK FAIRS and other events held at the big areas near the Municipal Building. The biggest event is the ANNUAL OCTOBERFEST (held in October) where there are lots of foods for sale as well as several FREE MUSICAL PRESENTATIONS.

I invite you to see for yourself the Old Town Gaithersburg. Park your car in Public Garage and other Parking areas. Walk along the Summit Street and Diamond Avenue. Taste the foods and drinks offered at its restaurants and bakeries. Have your hair cut, shop at its various stores. ! Experience the small town ambience and have fun!
