“Best tacos around!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

This place is at a gas station with a beer and wine store inside. This will make you question the location and quality of food. But, put that aside and get the tacos. All other stuff that I ordered there are superb! They give you large amount of meat in their tacos that one can get you full. The garnish bar is also awesome. You can top anything with different sauce or jalapeños or pico de gallo or whatever you fancy. The quality is great with everything they make. Give it a try and you will be satisfied!

“Taco Bar Terrific”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

The Taco Bar located at 10003 Fields Road, Gathersburg, MD is a hidden treat for those willing to find it. Located in at a convience store/gas station/liquor store, the food here is authentic, good and cheap. The menu is extensive and much like those found at locals only taco joints in San Antonio, TX. Especially good is the Pastor or grilled marinated pork; the Chorizo, and the Bistec or grilled steak. When your order comes, help yourself to the fixin's on a nearby table. You can get side orders of beans, rice, guacamole which are very good. You get a nice portion of guacamole, not that little dab most places add to your plate as an afterthought. Want a full meal deal, go for the Carne Asada, steak with onions, beans rice, salad and five corn tortillas. I've eaten Mex everywhere, including Mexico and this stuff is the real deal, good and cheap.

“!Que Rico!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

This place is unassuming and delicious. Everything is prepared fresh, to order. My favorite is the "pastor" taco - pork with pineapple on two tortillas, that actually makes 2 tacos and with the addition of some goodies from the salsa / condiments bar makes a meal on its own. We've also tried and like the nachos and the torta Mexicana.

“Good Mexican food for people who appreciate real Mexican food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

The title says it all. It's hidden by an Express gas station in a wine/beer shop but the food is plentiful and tasty. There are a few tables and chairs for people to sit down and eat but most people picked up a 6 pack and tacos to go. Everyone seemed to be ordering tacos, mostly the chicken but al pastor is tasty too. Prices are a lot more than you would expect say if you came from California and went to the neighborhood taco joint but for the DC area it's cheap. I'll be back.
