We visit family in the area, so we have stayed here half a dozen times. It is clean, the staff is friendly, breakfast is hot and generous, and having a kitchenette makes it possible to warm a pizza for the kids. Very happy with the place. One scary incident points up the fact that some people use hotel/motels for partying and drinking... someone came pounding on our door late at night. But this is not commonplace. I returned to the hotel, even after we had that incident.

This hotel is the perfect place to stay if you are touring Washington, D.C. The hotel is at the end of the MetroRail red line (Shady Grove station) and if you don't mind the 30 to 40 minute ride to and from DC, this is the way to go. Every morning we enjoyed a nice, hot breakfast and then the hotel shuttle took us to the metrorail station. We spent the days sightseeing, taking in the museums, monuments, etc. and then caught the metrorail back to the Shady Grove station. After a long day of walking the sights, it was nice to relax on the rail ride back to the hotel. The shuttle picked us up and brought us back to the hotel. The 4 of us stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, full kitchen, living room suite and loved every moment of it. We chose to eat-in 3 of our 5 dinners and the kitchen was perfectly stocked with most everything you need for a simple supper. We didn't use the pool ourselves but the people we saw using it seemed to be enjoying themselves. When we return to DC we will most definitely stay here again.

Great Family Hotel, with suites that sleep up to 8 people. We came with a girl scout troop, and had 8 people in a large trio suite - 2 bedrooms with doors, 1 living room & kitchen common area, 2 bathrooms, 2 double beds, one king, and one pullout couch. The girls loved it - the room was huge - they kept taking pictures of the room & the pool. There is a full kitchen with cups/plates/glasses, and a dining table with chairs. Best of all, it is just off a highway, and close to the Shady Grove metro stop, so getting to Washington DC is very easy. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful, with eggs, bacon, sausage, english muffins, toast, juice, Starbucks coffee, and these incredible fresh-baked muffins. I plan to return with my family on vacation, it was that good.

We stayed here to attend one of our relative's wedding in the area. We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious rooms which include a full kitchen, a separate living room and a bedroom. The room was clean and quiet. The kitchen even had paper towels and dish washing soap. The staff were nice and accommodating. The breakfast that’s included with the room was good. The only negative was the size of the bathroom, however, it was enough. Also, there are three total floors to the hotel and there are no elevators, so just keep that in mind. The location is close to the highway and restaurants. Overall, a very pleasant experience and we would stay there again.
