Our party of four dined at the Hen House for lunch and found the food very good. The soups were homemade, and very flavorful. Warm, homemade bread accompanied the soups, salads and the entrees. The salads were fresh and very large. My crab cake was good with large lumps of back fin crab meat. My side order of onion rings was the best that I ever had: no thick breading - just a light dusting of seasonings and fried to perfection. My other three friends enjoyed their chicken dinner which included a very large, moist, flavorful breast and wing. Although we were all pretty full from our lunch, we tried the special desert of the day: pumpkin mousse served with a ginger snap cookie. The mousse was delightful: good pumpkin flavor and not too sweet. A homemade large ginger snap cookie adorned the top, and it had to be the best ginger snap cookie that I have ever tasted. One last note: the building is awesome with a fireplace and a knotty pine paneled high ceiling, and the entire facility was spotlessly clean. I can't wait to go back!
