“Great stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012 via mobile

We stayed here and travelled into DC each day on the local commuter train, $6 each way Monday to Friday (MARC).Weekend travel you needed Amtrak, much more expensive. There was a shuttle from the hotel to the station and or airport.Longest wait was 20mins.
The front desk staff were really helpful and gave lots of information about transport etc.
Would recommend to travelers wanting to go to DC.

Stayed one quick night here on business. Had king room, which had the usual amenities, including flat screen tv, microwave and small refrigerator. One piece shower was a little crowded for my height but worked fine. The breakfast looked decent from a glance, but I did not partake. Hotel is located about 12 minutes drive from the airport. Within the immediate location is one restaurant sharing the parking lot. Other restaurants and retail will require a short drive as the property is located by itself. Seems well run.

We stayed here in a King room on Monday night. The hotel was extremely clean and maintained. The room was fantastic and large. Double sinks in the bathroom. Coffee maker, fridge and microwave. It was the start of our vacation. Would have enjoyed more nights but had to cancel for an emergency. Would recommend hotel and will probably book again on a future trip. Occasional plane noise but not disruptive. Restaurant next door had the coldest beer I've had in a while. Excellent crab cakes.

Room Tip: did not use room service or spa, have no opinion

Ryan was manning the front desk for our visit to a tiny amusement park about 20 minutes away from the hotel. We had gotten in late the night before, myself and my two teenaged boys. Iris, Breakfast Bar Manager, was quick to respond to the mammoth appetite needs of said 2 children... itself in it's own is an amazing feat! She kept the entire bar so CLEAN and full and FRESH!!!! (It's always makes me, a germaphobe, feel sooooo good to see gloves being worn!) Iris was wonderfully personable to all guests, even the super cranky lady who complained about toddlers eating and being too loud at the tables... She just may have needed a kick in the rear! Instead, Iris was pleasant, genuine and comforting to this woman as she engaged her in conversation. Vanessa, in housekeeping... Wow! all I can say is thank you so much for such obvious attention to detail. My room smelled fresh, looked well maintained and clean and the bathroom was immaculate! I slept well, thanks to you! The pool staff and laundry staff were sooooo awesome for giving two shivering boys toasty towels after their swim!!! Now, Ryan.... the icing on the cake! Talk about being to anticipate needs! Whatever I needed... directions to a pharmacy, a late check out, more shampoo... Very, very attentive, thorough and kind to all of us.... We tend to travel a bit, and it's often that my children are ignored and often go unacknowledged... However, Ryan knew just how to talk to them... and I got plenty of whining on the way home about when we will return... :) That's a good sign in my book, especially with teens!!!
Excellent pricing for the phenomenal service, attention and cleanliness! I will be back many, many times, and will recommend this to all!!!

I was on a short-term work asignment in the BWI area and found the accomodations and staff (esp. Ron, the Manager) to be extremely helpful. The hotel is located near loads of restaurants and shopping (the Anne Adundel Mall). I would definitely return to this hotel.

We had gone back and forth about getting up REALLY early for our flight and driving 3 hours to BWI, then parking in their lot for 2 weeks during our vacation. Turns out, this Best Western was a much better alternative, allowing us to keep our car the entire time after staying 1 night for only a little more money than the BWI lot. Very clean rooms, helpful staff and a great location... not at all what I would have expected from a Best Western, the "PLUS" means a lot! Not only were we able to keep our car in the parking lot area, but they also offered a free shuttle to and from the airport (only about a 10 minute drive)! Also, If you need a quick bite to eat, there is a pub right in the parking lot also- though we did not get a chance to eat there.

Overall a great experience and a definite for those not in the area who have a very early flight out of BWI :)

We stayed here after our 6PM flight was delayed, then cancelled. We first called the Hampton Inn, which had no availability. This hotel had availability and a 24 hour airport shuttle to pick us up and bring us back for our early morning flight. Our major issue was with the shuttle pickup. Initially, the hotel clerk told my husband we needed to go to the D3 loading zone, and that the shuttle was there. We went to D3, but there was no shuttle, although there was a sign next to it indicating hotel shuttle pickup. We waited about 15 minutes or so, then my husband called back. This time the clerk said he had said the shuttle was on the way. We continued to wait and saw other hotel shuttles make 2 or 3 trips by. My husband called again, and this time the clerk told him it was just loading zone 3, not D3 as he'd said earlier. Not being familiar with BWI we didn't know the difference. We walked farther down the sidewalk to loading zone 3, and continued to wait. Finally, at 9:00 PM, approximately one hour after making the reservation, the shuttle showed up and transported us 15 minutes to the hotel. We have stayed in other Best Westerns, and some are nicer than others; this one was on the more dated side. The lobby was pretty nondescript. Our room on the 3rd floor was functional, but not visually appealing. A portion of the ceiling near one side of the bed was badly stained with large black spots and streaks that I hope was not mold, but that was what it appeared it might be. The room, minus the flat screen TV and bedding, did not look like it had been updated in some time. However, the bed and bathroom appeared clean, and that was what we needed for the few hours before our flight, and we were tired so we didn't try to change rooms, we just went to bed. We were scheduled for the 5AM shuttle back to the airport, and that went without a hitch. I only wish the shuttle trip to the hotel had gone as well. Based on our experience, and the appearance of our room, I'm surprised this hotel is rated so highly.

Dear Valued Guest,

Your experience with our Shuttle service was not acceptable. I will discuss and review this with our General Manager asap to review our communcation with our incoming guests at the airport and get it remedied. I will also discuss your comments about your room. Please let me know if you plan to return and we can make it up to you. I am glad that the rest of your stay and departure went well though.
