We went to Giovanni's expecting good Italian cooking. The marinara sauce was bland, the salad dressing lacked zip, and the sausage and peppers was not very distinguished. BUT the seafood bisque is to die for: full of flavor and pieces of crab and shrimp.
The waiter was on vacation even though i could see him chatting in the back of the room. Several times he approached the table next to us to ask how they were doing, not our table. We had to flag him down just to get our check. I would have thought he would be like white on rice with our check.
We went over the weekend and there were two guys with saxophones. VERY DANCEABLE MUSIC. If you like to dance, these guys are tops. I heard from another patron this place has been sold an will be closing in Aug. or Sept. We hope they take these two guys with them, they are a trip into the good ole days when you could sing the songs in front of your parents.
