We happened by Easton's Promise by a referral of a town merchant when we stopped to ask for directions or a B & B. We were met by a most friendly and hospitable hostess, Carla, who welcomed us to view the entire home and let us choose our available room for the night. The high ceilings, lovely and quaint home decor just invited us to stay immediately in this cozy setting. A fire in the fireplace, impeccable cleanliness and a friendly 'Lucky' further convinced us to stay in this romantic setting an additional night!!! The food was delicious and we loved the spontaneity that our hostess accommodated. It was one of the most delightful 'finds' in Maryland and we have already scheduled a reunion visit in the Spring!!!!

Easton's Promise has all the comforts of home and more. Carla Cronin delivers hospitality in true Maryland style. The yellow front sitting room is elegant yet comfortable with fireplace and TV; a nice place to enjoy an early evening cocktail before dinner out in town. Beds are comfortable and each room is decorated with a wonderful mix of antiques and finds from friends and local shops. Our delicious breakfast was served in the red dining room which is graced with interesting paintings. We had a great time at the inn and shopping in beautiful Easton.

We recently stayed at Easton's Promise and were a bit disappointed for several reason's. The inn is located in the historic heart of Easton and on a very busy thoroughfare. There is a highly used intersection one house away complete with traffic lights. The noise was intrusive and does not let up much. If you are looking for a room in the original, historic part of the house, which have more charm then the new addition, you will be too close to the road. I might add the plumbing bangs all night long!! So between the traffic and the plumbing, rest was not what we found here. We were also a bit disappointed in that most of the furnishings were reproductions, thus looking more like an upscale hotel than a B&B. Not very cozy or warm! Too formal.

We stayed at Easton's Promise when it first opened and were most pleasantly impressed. The rooms were lovely, warm and comfortable. The living room put us at ease. We were visiting a friend's home not an establishment. Great breakfasts. Loads of places to visit and shop in the area. We intend to return soon.
