We went to this restaurant during date night of our marriage retreat in Royal Oak, MD. We had a large group (7 couples). I was pleased that they were able to accommodate us quickly and got us seated, and seated together at that (we took up two side by side hibachi tables). First, let me talk about the server we had...she was rude and had an attitude problem. She rushed everybody to order and didn't do a good job of checking up on us to see if we needed anything. For a part of the time, she left (I don't know if it was a break or what but she put her coat on and went out). I wanted to order an appetizer (veggie tempura) but when I called her and she said she'll be back, she never did. By the time I was able to get her attention again, the chef came and didn't make sense for me to get the appetizer anymore. Other than that issue, it was a good dining experience as far as food and the chef was excellent. I only wish it wasn't automatic gratuity because the server didn't deserve it and would've wanted it to go to the chef and the other servers who partially served us when she wasn't doing her job.
