“Breathtaking Natural Scenery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2012

We visit here yearly either in spring or fall for the festivals. The outdoor air is so crisp and refreshing, and the elevation is enough to provide good excercise. There are plenty of places to dine there too.

“great winter hike”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2012

Took the 5 mile blue trail from the summit and west parking lot -- some short strenuous ups and downs on well maintained trail. Well marked with blue blazes and mile markers. A few slightly muddy areas but the perfect place for a winter hike -- including wonderful views. Parking can be a problem at the base, but if you get there early you can park on the top. And remember, Sugarloaf Mountain is FREE.

“We go here at least once a year”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2011

What a fascinating place. Sugarloaf Mountain is privately owned -- imagine owning a mountain -- but made available to the public for recreational purposes. There are several different trails, but most families with children will want to drive halfway up, park, and hike to the summit. Best to get there early. Bring water bottles. There are portapotties but no other facilities you'd want for small kids.

“Fantastic Day Hike”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2011

I hiked from the based, but you can drive almost all the way to the top and just do the summit if you'd like. Utilize the maps from the website for the best layout. The trails are well marked, and in excellent condition.
