“Eat the Hamburger, Skip the Sides”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

Another Saturday in search of the perfect burger. Since Texas is known for its beef, we thought family friendly Longhorn Steakhouse would fit the bill. We arrived off peak time at 4 pm, were seated immediately, and greeted shortly after by our server. Husband started with onion soup which was warm but not hot, and to my taste very salty. The loaf of bread was warm and tasty. Burger and chopped steak were well prepared and quite good. Sides were another story. Onion fries quite salty and sweet potato bites were candied. They should come with a warning to diabetics. My advice: eat the burger and skip the sides.

“Not bad for a franchise and steak.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013 via mobile

When in the mood for a simple and fast steak dinner without the pomp and circumstance of a fancy top of the line steak house, this is the place. The place is very busy and the food is tasty and fresh (likely helped by the traffic and turnover of many meals). The beef is not the hugest quality, but it is cooked well and is very flavorful, and your somewhat typical "chain" restaurant appetizers are available as well.

“Fail”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013 via mobile

I don't usually review national chain restaurants, but I had to make an exception. Service was fair, had to remind the waitress twice for my wife's Margarita, but at least she took it off the bill without asking. There was a sticker in my vegetable side. The manager came to talk to us and was very awkward and goofy. Food was bland. Best part of the meal was the Margarita. There are plenty of better restaurants in Columbia. We won't be back.

“been multiple times; nothing to moan about”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012

It's not a cheap place and the food isn't outstanding, but if you're out and about shopping and want to sit down for a decent meal, this is definitely an ok choice. the steaks are tender and the portions are decent sizes. The wait staff is friendly if not a little slow. There is a lot of waiting even if it doesn't seem busy. the atmosphere is ok. i admit it seems a little bleak though somehow. it's not cheery inside. overall, i have never left peeved that I had a bad meal. Expect a lofty cheque though.
