Thieves and liars. Don't make a mistake in leaving ANYTHING behind, they'll take it. Customer Service is NOT the top priority, it is covering each other's butts is what is really important. They'll call you a liar and tell you that even if their staff lied to you, you are the liar and you have no right to be mad at them. I don't have a lot of money and I thought it being a Marriott Hotel there would be better customer service but I was wrong and wasted money staying there.

Another positive Marriott experience. This courtyard is well-maintained. The rooms were furnished nicely and the beds were comfortable (I slept like a baby). I was in town for a wedding and while it was about a 15 minute drive from BWI, this hotel is close to restaurants, bars and a nice mall. This was my first time in Columbia and I made a great choice.

We enjoyed a truly pleasant hotel stay here for two nights. The lovely garden courtyard was in blossom and our ground floor room looked out onto a riot of pink and white blossoms. But honestly, our great stay was the result of the superb customer service we received from the front desk representative named "Shanay" (and I am not certain I spelled her name correctly, for which I apologize). Honestly, I can't remember a happier arrival after a long trip. She was extremely considerate of our needs and helped us with directions and touring advice, but she is such a sweet personality and that paints your stay at this hotel. There was an issue with the hot water, but that did not override our positive experience here. This was by far my best Marriott experience and among my best hotel experiences, and that's saying something...

My wife and I stayed here a couple nights for a business trip, and found it to be as good or better than any other hotel we've stayed in. The whole place is neat, clean & tidy. The front desk staff is both proffesional and friendly. This was the easiest check-in/check-out I can remember. The snacks for sale in the lobby were not way overpriced. Overall the hotel is just an average value; unfortuately, it looks like most of the hotels in the Columbia area are on the high side. The room was very clean; the small balcony a nice touch. This was our first time using a hotel's internet service and it worked fine. As others mentioned, the place is difficult to find-the community limits signage to a minumum meaning it was days before we realized there was a McDonalds a mile away. It should be noted that the steakhouse others have mentioned has apparently closed.
