We came to Maryland for an 80th Birthday Celebration and stayed here. Very nice room, great beds, clean hotel, pristine swimming pool and good food. The front desk staff was fabulous, friendly and helpful. One warning, they have lots of rooms with no outside windows, only windows that over look the atrium lobby which is sort of gray, very stylish but odd. We got that sort of room, at first , didn't like the lack of a window that faced trees and sky, asked for another room and got one immediately with no problem. Would definitely stay here again.

At the last minute, we decided to throw an 80th birthday party at the guest of honor’s favorite restaurant in Columbia, MD. The guest list quickly increased with out of town guest and needed hotel accommodations. I was familiar with what used to be the Hilton Columbia and had heard of the renovations and the new flag of Doubletree. Our site inspection went very well and was extremely impressed with the renovations. The hotel was fresh, inviting, very attractive décor, lobby entrance was clean and staff very friendly and accommodating. We decided to book a block of rooms and a brunch for family members departing. The Director of Sales & Marketing, Michael Vaka, went above and beyond our expectations. Besides the assistance of a block of rooms, he even suggested and arranged shuttle service for guest attending the party to and from so they could enjoy the event without the worry of driving. We booked a suite and were really blown away by the size and décor. We had our two children with us and it was an impressive size. Our two kids even made the comment that it was like staying at a Condominium and would feel comfortable for days. The suite offered plenty of space and amenities to make our stay memorable. We had a view of their atrium and indoor pool which was convenient while searching for our group. We were even greeted with a delicious tray of goodies in our suite which just completed our experience. The staff of the Doubletree went out of their way to provide great service, accommodations and guest experience. The brunch was also a success and food was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel for business or pleasure it’s a must when traveling through Maryland.

My wife and I stayed here five nights while attending some meetings. Had heard "so so" reviews from colleagues but I had not complaints. Hotel has been rennovated so probably a key reason for feeling good about our stay. Felt staff was friendly and accommodating. Our room and entire hotel was very clean. Room size and ammenities were well above average. I appreciated that the TV could be turned so it could be viewed from the room's desk. Hotel was a little pricey, but neither am I accustomed to costs in this area. A continental breakfast would have made me feel a little better about cost. Hotel has pool and hot tub, but I didn't use them. There was a restaurant in the motel but I did not use it. There were lots of restaurants within a mile our two.

I appreciated the secluded location. Close to things, but still tucked away. I would stay again.

Fantastic stay at the Double Tree! The staff were all very friendly and courteous (especially BARRY!). The room was modern and beautiful. And the warm cookies... my god, the cookies... Thanks for a great time!
