Was here for a friend's B-Day last night - we got a wide variety of sushi & maki as well as the ever addictive edamame. As everyone says the Explosion Roll is the bomb! (Yeah, I went there)
Seriously, the Explosion Roll - it's pretty amazing! UNAGI! MMMmm the eel is also outstanding!
Sushi, good sushi, isn't cheap. But SK is not crazy expensive like a place in NY or LA. It's worth it! Our bill for 4 people, Edamame, a couple beers, a small flask of hot saki, and an ocean of sushi (see pictures!) bill with tip was just over $200
And since I embarrassed my B-Day friend Mike by informing our lovely server of his big day - they kindly created an ice cream volcano mountain desert & sang him the Birthday Song!
I've been going to Sushi King since 1988 - my first job out of college was as an account executive at Columbia Magazine (back when it was still owned by Rouse) and Sushi King was one of my first clients. Same location - next to the MD DMV Express and worth the drive from anywhere!
I know the whole Sushi Sono vs. Sushi Kingc competition is big BIG in this small town - and they're owned by the same people so go to whichever is closest to you - but this is the first, this is the best, this is classic!
Honestly, the BEST sushi in Maryland!
