We were recently in Columbia for a lacrosse tournament at Blandair Park. The Ale House was a five minute drive. We had about 12 people who wanted to get out of the heat and have some food and beverages. The place was modern, bright, and had tons of TVs. It was a little hard to find as it was tucked back in a small shopping complex. We had to give directions to some folks as they ended up at a place called the Columbia Ale house. We told them once they saw fudruckers, pull into the plaza and go around back.
The waitress was very helpful for our large group and had no problem adding tables and chairs as the crowd grew. The beee drinkers loved the assortment. The wine list was a little lacking, as there was no "oakey" Chardonnay. Folks liked the Cuban sandwich, the artichoke flatbread and the Tuna Tartar. We asked if one of the salads could be split and this was done without issue. Even split, it was a good size portion.
All in all, a good stop.
