“Great Local Spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

I believe it is better than just an average ale house. The food is good, the beer is better and have a rotating set of beers frequently. They have both their Oliver ales and other craft breweries. They also sell growlers which allows you to take a beer to enjoy. Parking is bad, but it is worth the effort. They have free valet parking on the weekends.

“Average ale house”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

This is just an average ale house. Took way too long for server to bring out a couple drinks. Food was ok, but took a long time to come out. My tacos were stone cold when they came out the first time.
Beer was significantly over-priced.

“A really good find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

We have been here for lunch and really enjoyed the experience. The wait staff is very competent, they know the menu, and are very smooth. No bobbles at all, they take the extra step. The food is very good, quite a leap up from the usual bar food. And the beer selection is excellent.

The only problem is parking, as others have noted. There is nowhere to park one the lot (a good-sized lot) gets full. At lunch you will likely be fine but on weekends or at night it's a different story. It is worth trying for a space though, the experience inside the restaurant is worth it.

“Great beer and outdoor dining”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013 via mobile

We have been here several times. Last Wednesday was the first time that we ate on their outdoor patio. It is very nice. They have a bar located right near the tables. As always the food has been good! They have a limited happy hour menu, but I think the spinach artichoke dip is one of the best deals. Don't forget they take reservations on Open Table.

“Worth checking out despite serious lack of parking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

We tried to go here one Wednesday night for dinner around 6:15 and there was nowhere to park. Gave up and went somewhere else. Tried again a little earlier on another Wed night and found a space (got seriously lucky though). They really do need to address the parking issue. Just because they offer free valet parking doesn't mean you want to hand your car over to some kid who's never valeted before. At any rate - got right in, and was immediately surprised by the fact that it wasn't at all noisy in there. Could be where we were seated, but since it's such a large space I expected it to be noisy. Glad it wasn't. Tons of wait staff all over the place, and overall service was pretty good. Manager stopped by after to see how we liked our meal, which was nice. We split a flatbread (nice size and tasted good) and then both had salads, which were good sized with good ingredients. Very pleased with the meal. He liked his beer and my wine was fine. Wasn't enthused about the wine glass, probably because it was a really small pour (I'm comparing to places like Houlihans or Champs which are a bit more generous). Overall, I'd say it was a pretty decent value for what we got - and if I remember correctly the happy hour prices extend beyond the bar so that was nice. Saw what some other diners were having and everything looked good. Can't imagine what a pain it would be to park there on a Fri/Sat night - but early enough during the week it wasn't a deterrent. Overall it's a good addition to Columbia, which is badly in need of some new dining options. If you're a beer drinker you'll love it - if you're not (see wine reference above) you won't be disappointed by the food.
