I enjoyed my dinner with friends at La Ferme. We found the food selections to be varied; well prepared; and tasty. The wine list is extensive, but the selection ordered was not the one presented-since price wasn't that different from the one I ordered, I allowed it to be poured and in fairness, the selection delivered was excellent. What detracted from our dining experience was the lack ot attention by waitstaff: we dined on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was busy, but one would expect that a well established restaurant such as La Ferme with the presentation of fine dining (with prices to match) would expect that their wait staff would be pleasant, helpful, and attentive to needs. I don't need obsequious or fawning behavior, but I do expect to be treated as if my business matters.
Another irritant: important event days (birthdays; anniversaries; etc) are 'celebrated' with music and singing-on a busy night such as the evening my group went these celebrations were constant and interrupted our group's conversation and dining. I would think that fine dining establishment could deliver a celebratory cake/dessert without the musical fanfare.
I'll give La Ferme a '4' rating-only because of the excellent food: I was certainly disappointed by the service.
