A great place to boat, bike, or spend a quiet Chesapeake weekend. Chestertown is a quiet, historic college town on the beautiful Chester River. There is a small downtown with bricklined sidewalks, cute old buildings and huge trees that predate the Revolution. Washington College is up the hill from the waterfront. Chestertown has seafood, coffeeshops, and several excellent restaurants including the historic Hotel Imperial. The best way to visit Chestertown is by boat, but they have their own brand new tall ship, The "Sultana", which was built with full support from the community. Bring your bicycle, canoe or kayak and prepare to relax.
