I think this restaurant is a one trick pony but it's a *great* trick. If you like different varieties of grilled cheese this is your place. There are some soups and salads also.

Location: Right off the Beltway on Edmondson Avenue.

Parking: Can get congested when it's busy. Otherwise it seems ok.

Atmosphere: It's homey and clean inside, like a Starbucks for grilled cheese.

People: Everyone at the counter is very nice and helpful.

Prices: This is always subjective. Look at their menu and see for yourself. You get a decent amount of food for your dollar so I felt that the value was good.

Food: I think the food is perfectly made and have no complaints. My most recent foray here included the crab melt. I felt there was too much crab (is that even possible???) and it kept spilling out of the sandwich. A fork helped remedy that situation. I usually get the shoestring french fries. You get a lot and they are made fresh.

Quality: I think the quality is as good as any freshly made grilled cheese can be. I can't see anyone being disappointed.

CONS:
It can get crowded. This is not the restaurant's fault. The tables can fill up quickly and you have to go outside. If there's no place to sit there you can enjoy your food on the front steps or in your car.

Since everything is cooked to order and it can get crowded it sometimes takes a while to get your food. Again, not the restaurant's fault.

I'm not sure if they use butter or some substitute for grilling. (A properly made grilled cheese always uses butter in my book.) It tastes heavenly but can be a little greasy. Perhaps I should ask for "light on butter".

Nice sandwich shop. Who knew grilled cheese could be so exotic? The sandwiches are made to order and are clever in description and flavor. All that and a side of sweet potato fries!

Recently ate at this Grilled Cheese & Co. location with a friend and LOVED it! The Crabby Melt was delicious and a very good portion, and the small dining room reminded me of the smaller mom n' pop establishments I grew up with. You're definitely paying for the food and not the atmosphere - no frills and very friendly staff. Limited seating indoors and limited parking, but definitely worth the trip. Also located right off 695 so very convenient!

If you are ever in the area, you should make a point to visit this place and get the Crabby Melt!!! It is super delicious! To really taste the greatest flavor, use a knife and fork and eat it open face, don't forget the Old Bay!
