My wife is Vietnamese, and it's important to note that all eleven of her family members can cook quite well. So our ratings of Vietnamese restaurants is a bit skewed. We always compare the food to that which we are accustomed to at home. Well, let me say that Pho #1 is a HUGE hit. Their Pho, Bun Bo Hue, and their Broken Rice dishes are our favorites. We have missed family meals since many have moved to Florida, but there is always Pho #1 to help rescue us when we either don't want to trouble ourselves with the prep or just don't have the time.
We find their service is also great. The staff recognizes my voice upon ordering, and there is always a warm, "Hey, where is your lovely wife?" when I come in to pickup carryout. I almost feel like Norm Peterson in the old Cheers tv show.
We have eaten plenty of other dishes on their menu, with no disappointment.
Finally, the Durian Bobo tea is a favorite way to top off the meal for us, though it is definitely not to everyone's liking.
