“Great Family Weekend”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

I have been to the Hyatt on many many occassions. From the smore kits they have available (for use with the bonfire outside) to the indoor/outodoor hottub-- to the dine in movies at night at the pool-- to the great brunch in the morning-- it is a memory in the making. Try and get the higher level rooms for the higher cielings. Nicer rooms. You will not be disappointed-- plus much closer and nicer than some far off place like the Homestead!

Stayed for one night at the Hyatt Chesapeake Resort with my three kids. We greatly enjoyed our short break from school and work. The resort has a golf course, but the attraction for us was its excellent indoor swimming pool. Personally, I usually don't like Indoor pools, but this Hyatt has an exceptional indoor pool. Lots of light, high glass ceiling, and not the musty smell of most indoor pools. It was a warm day and we discovered, that even the walls around the pool open up to let in direct access to the grounds and a great view of the Choptank river.
We dined one night at the resort's Blue Point seafood restaurant, which is about one-third of a mile from the main resort. The seaford here was fresh and enjoyed by all. Service, here as elsewhere on the property was first rate. For the next morning we had the breakfast buffet in the main dining room which was the only disappointment of the stay. The food was just average at best, although service was good. In hindsight we should have avoided the breakfast buffet and chosen the omelet station, which looked good.
I really think this is the best hotel/ resort on the Delmarva Peninsula. Much better than any property in Ocean City or the other beach areas. I highly recommend the Hyatt Chesapeake.

Room Tip: If you are going to use the indoor or outdoor pools, ask for a room in the wing nearest the pool ent...

This is my second trip to the Hyatt. When I need an escape, this is the perfect place to come. Probably wouldn't come here during the summer months as it's very kid friendly, but that could be a plus for others. Great restaurants in the hotel and close by. Spa on site. Very comfortable rooms. Nice ambiance.

this was our second stay in the winter months. This time we brought a big blow up two person pool toy and had a blast dumping my 9yr old and 13 yr old in the water...they had a blast trying to get mom and dad to fall off it as well. We only stayed one night, but checked our luggage and put my purse in the locker in the ladies room by the pool. we enjoyed lunch by the pool and an adult beverage and a delicious banana chocolate smoothie made for my 13 yr old. There is a shower in this bathroom, just remember to bring conditioner and a change of clothes. The kids were tired and clean by the time we left at 3 pm.
Dinner the night before was at the restaurant that you take a shuttle to...actually if not too cold this is a lovely short walk. My autistic kid had no trouble here. It was not noisy and very relaxed and happy...we enjoyed challenging each other with the hot sauce tasting while waiting for the food. The food was good, the relaxed experience great...also lots of dogs here in the pet friendly rooms. This is a hit with my sensory needy kid...lots of friendly petting in the lobby. If your kid is afraid, just check out the lobby before bringing them in...I do miss the free adult beverage upon checking that was available the first time we stayed.
My 13 yr old loved the Starbucks downstairs.

This was perhaps my 8th or 9th time staying at this hotel and it always is a pleasure. They had tweaked it a little since our stay in last March. I liked that they took away the need for a room key to enter the workout and game rooms, which are both exceptional facilities. The water temp in the indoor/outdoor hot tub could have a been a little higher, for safety reasons. As usual the facilities that this resort offers are unsurpassed for being located in a small town area. Be sure and check out the nature walk behind the gold course. The path is composed of wood chips and you're very likely to see a heron nesting up in the trees.

Room Tip: Try and get on their mailing list for the seasonal flyers they put out and these specials may help a...

I've attended an office conference here two years in a row, and I have to say my room stay each time is very comfortable. The conference/meeting rooms are quite adequate as is the food offerings for a very basic breakfast and the hotel's lunch and dinner choices. If this is the treatment we get for being forced in a room all day to get along and get work done, I wonder how much better it is when the weather is warmer during a weekend getaway. Staff is always very nice, makes for an enjoyable experience even if its work related.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous, and the staff is simply charming. Everyone, from the front desk staff to the housekeeping staff, I was delighted at every turn. The views from the hotel was amazing and the outdoor pool is open in the winter (and it is SUPER heated, which was awesome). The activities are endless, choose from a mini golf course, sand volleyball courts, swimming pools, a beach, a spa, a marina, a full golf course, and much much more. The restaurants are delicious and the bar and bartenders are fantastic.
I highly recommend this hotel for your special occasion or just a weekend away.

Room Tip: Higher floor rooms have even better rooms of sunset.
