“Special, one-of-a-kind experience”

How many can say they have stayed in a house in which parts of the US Constitution were written? The Glasgow house is situated in picturesque Cambridge, MD, and offers as much charm as it has history.

I believe had the last reviewers outlined the details of their stay to the inkeepers, their expectations would have been met. The house is run by two older ladies who greeted us each morning with a delicious breakfast and warm smiles. The rooms were clean, the house tidy, and the towels soft. After a full day of activity in the hot sun, I slept soundly in the very comfortable queen bed in the front bedroom.

There is a shared bathroom on the second and third floors, however several rooms feature full baths. All the facilities were fantastic. Wandering the house one can find many attributes from the original construction. If you enjoy history and architecture, a night here is a must.

If you are visiting Cambridge and need a standard room there are other hotels in the area. If you are looking for a truly wonderful experience that will leave a lasting impression, stay at the Glasgow Inn.

Great location, walking distance to Triathlon, beautiful old house. However, what we didn't like were the shared bathrooms, no ice available, no food or beverage allowed in room, scratchy towels, no amenities like a hair dryer, water glasses, or even a private bar of soap. The television has rabbit ears and no digital converter, so it does not work at all. The air conditioning was turned off when we went out the first night, so the room was hot, stuffy and took a very long time to cool down. The ceiling fan was the only help. We were hot, tired and thirsty, and had only warm bottled water to drink. The breakfasts were mediocre. The two sweet ladies who own the place did leave the a/c on the second night, but did not respond to our request for ice. All this for $175 a night!

My wife and I were in Cambridge to run the Eagleman Triathlon and we stayed at the Glasgow Inn. We could not have been more pleasantly surprised! What a beautiful, clean, and unique house. The two ladies who run the place made sure that we had anything and everything we needed. It's proximity to the race start is a huge plus as well. I can't recommend this enough to anyone looking for a place to stay over the race weekend, or for any reason.
