i had read about this store before visiting Bethesda, but actually just walking in the door was a unique experience...Dozens upon dozens of buckets, baskets, whatever container you wanted i suppose, filled the shop with uniqe cookie designs and themes. I talked to the owner and learned they had been open for over 13 years, Well ahead of the recent "cupcake" craze that is popular among bakers/confectionaries. The unique 'themed' designs for various occasions...wherther a birthday, anniversary, bat mitvah, Oscars party...you name it, they can come up with a unique design for each and every cookie created. I wanted to buy several for friends as gifts but i took their card in order to allow the opportunity for a mail order at a later date. Sadly, i didnt purchase a cookie to taste it and when going back on Sunday to accomplish that task and take some home as gifts, i found they were closed on sundays...alas..i am so confident they will be as delicious as they look... i may have to go online to order some for myself! Most of the stores in Betheda Row were open on sunday but the Shoppes of Bethesda, one street over, were mostly closed.
