“One of Bethesda's best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2014

The food is unbelievably delicious and if you stick multiple appetizers, the price is really reasonable. Great options for vegetarians. They are consistent and outstanding. I highly recommend Bacchus.

“A popular Bethesda restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2014

If you want something out of the ordinary, try Bacchus. The weekly lunchtime specials are relatively inexpensive ($12-$13) and include a main course and an appetizer. Together they are quire filling. Dinners are around $20 or more and do not include an appetizer (round $7). They are much busier when the outside patio is open, since it can be very pleasant outside sitting under an umbrella next to their fountain. Inside is nice in the winter. They are much busier at night, especially on weekend nights, and reservations are suggested. When eating outside, service can be slow, but why not spend a few minutes relaxing instead of shoveling down the food? They have a small semi-private dining room for groups.

“The Terrace is a Charmer!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2013 via mobile

Bacchus offers a delightful terrace for Lebanese mezze (think tapas or small plates) during the warmer months. The mezze include an excellent mix of vegetarian options, salads and meat dishes. The flatbread and its dipping sauce-- olive oil and Mediterranean spices-- are especially delicious. Service is warm and welcoming, and pricing is excellent. You can eat extremely well for 2-3 tapas per
person.
The interior space is fine, but lacks the charm of the terrace.

“Lovely early autumn outdoor dining experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

We arrived 20 minutes before the kitchen closed on a weekend night and chose to sit on the patio outside. A great deal of thought went into the outdoor decor,,,a three-cascade water feature bubbling over subtly lit rocks, a lovely Japanese maple tree and barberry to accent the falls to really make the ambiance cornerpiece. This feature alone nearly counter-balanced the server pushiness, but, considering the restaurant was closing quickly, was somewhat understandable. Lots of lamb, eggplant, and chick pea dishes on the both the appetizer and entree menus, as expected. Classy, professional crowd. Reasonable prices considering the area, decor, food quality, and food portions.
