This was our first visit to Vino Volo - on a busy Saturday night. We had a "flight" of sparkling wines and ordered 2 small plates and 5 half plates (2 appetizers, a pizzeta, and 2 main course dishes). Before we had even finished the small plates, the other 5 dishes arrived. All but one were hot dishes - meant to be eaten and savored while warm. We had imagined leisuring our way through our various choices, perhaps with a glass of wine. With plates rapidly cooling (there was a cold draft across the table whenever the front door opened), we found ourselves setting a new record for dinner -- we were in and out in less than an hour! They have a nice wine selection, an entertaining concept, and attractive menu options, but they need to slow the pace -- and let the mood settle in. Culinary highs and lows: the penne with truffles was exceptional, pork tacos (small plates) were a bit dry.
