“Gorgeous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

Have seen multiple acts at Strathmore over the years, from Diana Krall to Joan Obsorne, Joan Rivers, and various classical music performances. It's convenient (on the red line, plus parking is available), and gorgeous. The sound is great, and very little obstructions in terms of views. If you happen to wind up at the very top last row, you might have some of the sound equipment in the way, but it's not that bad.

Food is very good. Price-wise, it is probably on par with what you would pay at a nicer restaurant.

“A Gem!”

Strathmore is a beautiful venue with great acoustics and sightlines. It is very accessible by car or Metro. Highly recommend it for virtually any type of music.

“Strathmore”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

I agree with the recent reviews. This is a wonderful facility. It is easily accessible by driving (on Rockville Pike/Rt. 355), with free parking in the Metro garage in the evenings, and is easily accessible by the Metro (Red Line, Grosvenor/Strathmore stop). If you arrive early, you can dine there or grab a glass of wine or beer and snacks. I too have not been disappointed in any seat. For music, there is a broad selection from gothic rock, jazz to classical. I've just visited the venue for music and not any of the dance programs nor for any of the children arts programs. Even though I've attended all pay events, there are plenty of free events.

“Great experience, easy parking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

We are blessed in the Washington area to have so many great music venues. Strathmore is one of the easiest to enjoy. Plenty of parking and a lovely bridge to walk across to get to the theater. Select carefully to insure that it is the type of music you like. Classical and pops are best in my opinion. One rock concert was way too loud.

“Excellent acoustics and environment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Pick anything at Strathmore and you're be really well pleased. The building is predominantly wood lined, and the acoustics are really warm and mellow. I've had seats at the orchestral, first and second tier and they all are really good. No issue where ever you sit. Pick a spot and you'll be happy, for sure.
