“Great Breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

We enjoy going to the Louisiana Kitchen for breakfast. Their Poached Eggs "Bayou" is to die for. It's has crawfish in a hollandaise sauce on top of poached eggs on excellent fried rice cakes. Coffee is good and service is friendly.

“Good Louisiana food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

Just had brunch there. The best omelette Cheese and Spinach not on the menu, just ask for it. They will be glad to make it. I've been going to the restauart ever since it opened. Went to the old one for years. Carlos was a waiter then now he is part owner, of the new one. Very nice inside and nice waite staff. Glenda was mine today, always with a smile. If you like Gumbo or beignets this is the place to go. Sometimes on the week end there is a wait but worth it. I would say try it, many long time friends go all the time. A friendly place. Enjoy

“Not too bad”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

Not too bad, that is if you like frozen breaded shrimp pasted to a sandwich. Not a good choice and trust me, this is a compliment as I would not even waste your time trying to explain that cup of "so-called gumbo" they're serving.

I may need to open a restaurant here and these folks have given me an idea of what not to do to my customers.

“No place for a po'boy”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

Lunch yesterady was unsatisfactory-oyster po'boys with tasteless oysters smothered in a sauce to mask the non-taste, and spiced french fries that were nothing special. Try elsewhere.

“Festive, unpretentious, and good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2012

Not being a local, I just happened upon Louisiana Kitchen while wandering the streets, foraging for food with a handful of other convention-goers. I'd go back here; they had a tempting variety on their menu. I wasn't really hungry, but I knew I needed to eat something, so I ordered what sounded like a small portion. Hmm, maybe they don't have small portions. My cajun-roasted chicken was very good, just slightly dry. The vegetable jambalaya was a tasty & suitable complement to the chicken. The portions were hefty, and I didn't make it to the two biscuits. The service was prompt, friendly and accomodating (separate checks mentioned after the fact, enough to make most servers grimace). Most items on the menu were very reasonably priced.
