“Solidly good Mexican”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2014

We liked this place. The pros: the margaritas and the food were good. Parking is easy because it's in an outdoor strip mall next to a Home Depot. The cons: It's in an outdoor strip mall next to a Home Depot. The view out the big glass window is of a parking lot. So basically good food and drink, not much on atmosphere.

“Good, but not Great.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2014

We love BEEF TexMex Fajitas. Our favorite is Rio Grande followed by Mi Rancho. I knew about this place for a long time...finally gave it a try. We're a family of 4 and big eaters. We got 1 order of Beef Fajitas and 1 Plato Grande (Their version of Plato Gordo). Service was fast and friendly. The place was packed but we got a table within 10 minutes. The Fajitas had the familiar look and presentation but were just a notch below what we were accustomed to. The onions were not fully caramelized and the tortillas did not have that puffy, home made irregular shape you see at Rio Grande or Mi Rancho. Plus, they charge you for additional tortillas too! I always have thought that it is just ridiculous to charge for additional tortillas! I also ordered a Margarita; regular, on the rocks with salt. Although I could tell it had a generous pour of tequila, It was cloyingly sweet and might as well been antifreeze as far as I was concerned. We gave this place a try, but we're sticking with Mi Rancho and Rio Grande!

“A secret gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

This small family restaurant is tucked behind Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, near the Home Depot. It can be easily overlooked, but shouldn't be. The food is consistantly excellent. Portions are generous and the service is great. This is really a hidden gem.

“Good value and good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2014

It's tucked into the small shopping center behind the Home Depot at Montgomery Mall, so you wouldn't really expect the place be as good as it is. The menu has a large selection of dishes ranging from the typical Mexican combo platters to daily entrees. The food is fresh and tasty, not commercial as at other typical Mexican restaurants. The portions are large, but not overwhelming. The service is good, the help friendly, and the water glasses get filled. Highly recommended.

Great food, great service, wide menu selection with good prices and margaritas by the pitcher. What more could one ask for?
