Based on Nest Cafe's rating here on Trip Advisor (#1 in Bethesda at the time) we ate there.
The good: the food was excellent. We had rock cod and it was some of the best fish I've ever eaten. Steamed with a bit of rosemary. Yum.
The not so good: 1. The ambiance was not conducive to conversations. It was loud and that made it hard to hear the person sitting next to you or across from you. 2. Looking at the wine list I asked our waitress for a recommendation for a dry white wine. She said they didn't have many dry wines (she said their sweeter wine list was probably due to the owner's preference --what? I thought the customer should come first and having a wide variety of wines would be a good selling point). She asked the bartender who recommended one wine that he said was dry and full bodied. It was neither. I never send food or wine back but I had to this time since it was so off the mark.
