I'll put it to you simply- $20 for a breakfast buffet that you would normally see at a low-scale hotel's continental breakfast. The one positive is that they did offer to let me take the buffet food back to my hotel room, if desired, which is unheard of at any type of buffet setting I've ever dined at.
The lunch buffet was similar- $20 for some meat and cheese plates and bread items. Even the coffee and water cost money! I was staying at the hotel on business and was completely outraged at the prices. Since it was during Hurricane Sandy, I felt as if they were taking advantage of us by price gauging.
My final complaint is the fact that NOT ONE of the dining staff spoke or understood basic English, oftentimes finding an English-speaking staff from another department to help translate. Ridiculous!
