My wife and I live in Bethesda and are frequent diners at Positano's, a long-time, local Bethesda restaurant, conveniently located just a few blocks from the metro station. The menu is well balanced, with a good selection of appetizers, salads, home made pasta, meat, vegetarian and seafood dishes, and delicious desserts. Well prepared vegetables come with most meals. The sauces are home made, always fresh, with just the right touch of herbs and spices. My favorite meal is the osso bucco. My wife loves the chicken picatta. The wine list is extensive, with a good choice from various price ranges. The service is always excellent - sure and friendly. I love the atmosphere, from the grape arbor in the outside dining area to Venetian masks, frescoes, and various Italian ornaments tastefully displayed throughout the restaurant.
